The third and final session of How Catholics Think: Lunch with St. John Henry Newman will be led by Fr. James Heft, SM (Professor of Religion, USC Dornslife). This session will discuss “What role do lay people have? Newman on sensus fidelium.” Join us for the last Friday lunch in March at the CC Patio for conversation and a light lunch!

Readings for this session will include selections by Roderick Strange from Newman 101: An Introduction to the Life and Philosophy of John Cardinal Newman (Christrian Classics; Notre Dame, 2008). Read chapter 6 “Serving the Laity.” A PDF version can be found below.
